1. Introduction

Ad Scaler ("we", "us", "the Service") is a Facebook ad auto-scaling platform that helps advertisers monitor and automate their Facebook ad campaigns through rule-based optimization. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using Ad Scaler, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

• Account information: name, email address, profile picture (provided by Facebook Login)
• Facebook OAuth tokens: access tokens granted via Facebook Login (encrypted at rest)
• Notification preferences: Telegram chat ID, LINE user ID (only if you opt in)
• Team invitations: email addresses of teammates you invite

2.2 Information from Facebook

When you connect your Facebook account, we request the following permissions:

• ads_management — to read, create, edit, and pause your Facebook ad campaigns, ad sets, ads, and creatives
• ads_read — to read advertising performance data and insights
• business_management — to access ad accounts and Pages owned by your Business Manager
• pages_show_list — to list the Facebook Pages you manage
• pages_read_engagement — to read engagement metrics on your Facebook Pages and obtain Page access tokens
• pages_read_user_content — to read existing posts on your Pages so you can select which ones to boost or use as ad creatives
• pages_manage_posts — to create new posts on your Pages on your behalf when you enable AI Copywriter (post duplication and rewrite) or Trend Injector features

We use these permissions to retrieve:

• Ad account, campaign, ad set, and ad-level metadata and metrics
• Existing posts and Page-level engagement data (only for Pages you authorize)
• User profile information necessary to identify your account

2.3 Actions taken on your behalf

With your authorization and based on the rules and configurations you create, Ad Scaler may:

• Manage ad campaigns: create, edit, pause, resume, duplicate, or delete campaigns, ad sets, ads, and ad creatives in your ad accounts
• Boost existing posts: create ad campaigns that promote posts you already have on your Pages (using object_story_id — no new content is generated)
• Create new posts (only when explicitly enabled): when you turn on AI Copywriter or Trend Injector, Ad Scaler may publish duplicate or AI-rewritten versions of your existing posts to your Pages, which are then used as ad creatives. You can disable this at any time in Settings.
• Read insights: retrieve performance metrics for ads and posts to evaluate your rules

Every automated action is logged in the in-app Activity Log so you can audit what was done, when, and why.

2.4 Automatically collected information

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
• Cookies and session tokens: for authentication and session management
• Bot action history: records of automated rule executions on your ad accounts

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and provide access to the Service
• To execute the rule-based ad optimization actions you configure
• To send notifications you opt into (Telegram, LINE, push notifications)
• To detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents and abuse
• To improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized analytics
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Facebook data for advertising or share it with third-party advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Storage location: Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) and Cloudflare KV — globally distributed edge infrastructure
• Encryption in transit: all data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+)
• Encryption at rest: Facebook access tokens are encrypted before being stored
• Access controls: only authorized personnel can access production data, and only when necessary for support or security
• Session tokens: JWTs signed with rotating secrets, with reasonable expiration

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share your data only in these limited circumstances:

• With Facebook: when you authorize actions on your ad campaigns (creating, editing, pausing ads), we send those requests to Facebook on your behalf via the Facebook Marketing API
• With service providers: Cloudflare (hosting, database, KV storage), Anthropic (Claude AI for AI features — only when explicitly used)
• With your team: if you invite teammates, they can see ad accounts and rules you share with them
• For legal reasons: if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you

6. Data Retention

• Account data: retained as long as your account is active
• Bot action logs: retained for up to 12 months for audit and debugging
• Facebook tokens: retained until you disconnect Facebook or delete your account
• Backups: may persist for up to 30 days after deletion before being purged

You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and session storage for authentication (JWT) and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not function correctly.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Disconnect Facebook at any time, which immediately revokes our access tokens
• Export your data in a portable format (JSON)
• Withdraw consent for any optional data processing
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

9. Data Deletion Instructions

Facebook requires apps to provide a clear data deletion path. To request deletion of your data:

1. Sign in to Ad Scaler and open Settings → Account → Delete Account, OR
2. Email us at the contact below with the subject "Data Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account

We will permanently delete your data within 30 days and confirm completion by email.

10. Children's Privacy

Ad Scaler is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure (Cloudflare) operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence. We rely on industry-standard safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable) for international transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

6. การเก็บข้อมูล (Retention)

• ข้อมูลบัญชี: เก็บตราบเท่าที่บัญชียัง active
• Bot action logs: 12 เดือน
• Facebook tokens: จนกว่าจะ disconnect หรือลบบัญชี
• Backup: ลบภายใน 30 วันหลังปิดบัญชี

7. สิทธิ์ของคุณ
